Personal chef services

It is one of my greatest joys to help others create delicious memories. The ultimate compliment is to reflect with a client, after a dinner party, and hear them realize that I took a big chunk of their stress away.

As a personal chef, it is my job to give you a restaurant experience in your home. We will consult on a custom menu that best fits your dinner party goals while ensuring ingredients are seasonal and fresh. When I arrive to your home, I’m coming, with all of the necessary ingredients, equipments, and helpings hands needed to pull off your dinner party. All you have to do is give me the keys to your clean kitchen and provide dinnerware and beverages for your guests.

Dishes can be served family style or plated. I can stay behind the scenes and cook or interact with you and your guests while cooking. We can start with a minimum of 3 courses but can go all the way up to 6! You can have 2 guests or you can have 15 guests. The choice is totally yours!

I’d love to talk to you about your dinner vision. Contact me today so that we can discuss your dinner party goals!

Got Questions?

+ What does menu planning look like?

Together, we will come up with a custom menu for your event. I ask for any dietary restrictions or absolute food dislikes for all of your guests prior to creating a menu.

We will narrow down a menu one-two weeks prior to the event.

Headcount is due no later than one week before the event.

+ Do you require a deposit?

Yes, I require a 25% deposit to secure the date you selected.

Deposits are made online via Square.

+ Do you clean up?

I clean up “my mess”. That means I return you kitchen back to the state you presented it to me. You're responsible for dinnerware, so that means you are responsible for cleaning it as well. If your dinnerware is dishwasher safe and you leave the dishwasher empty for me, I am happy to load it. I proceed with caution with dinnerware because I have quite a few guests pull out antique china and I refuse to break grandma’s plate that you have special memories from as a child.

Dinnerware can be rented for an additional cost.

+ Do you bring additional staff?

I bring my sous chef when I have dinner parties larger than six guests. We spend most of our time in the kitchen, which means you are usually responsible for clearing plates between courses and refilling beverages.

Full service staff including a server and bartender are available at an additional cost.

+ Do you bring your own supplies or would you prefer to use ours? Or a mix?

I do all of the ingredient shopping and I bring my own equipment. I've been a personal chef for five years and no matter how I make my lists and plan for a dinner party, I always forget something. That means I may go through your cupboards for a bowl or a spoon, but that’s usually the extent of what I use of yours.

You are also responsible for beverages, as I do not hold a liquor license.

+ How early would you arrive?

It depends on you location and the menu/necessary prepwork, but typically one-two hours prior to your guests arrival.

+ How interactive/engaged are you with the guests?

That’s totally up to you! One of the benefits to doing what I do is interacting with guests. I suddenly become a part of the delicious memories you all are creating. I can chat with you all while I’m cooking (I just ask that no one gets in the way of my “kitchen dance”). I usually present each course as it’s being served and talk about it before you dig in. If you don’t want me to interact, I won’t. I cook, serve you, feed you, then I’m out. That’s the beauty of Tanorria’s Table, everything is customizable to the memories you which to create!
