Brussels Sprouts

You read the title and still decided to click on it. That gives me full permission to tell you to turn your nose down and give it a try! Brussels sprouts are delicious! I think most people don’t like them because of how they were cooked when they were kids. No shade to your Mom, but she made them all wrong!

Brussels sprouts carry this natural sweetness that comes out beautifully when roasted. Pair that natural sweetness with the salty deliciousness we know and love as bacon, and you have a full-on flavor explosion in your mouth!

Try these out this Thanksgiving. I promise EVERYONE will eat them!

Enjoy!

Brussels sprouts carry this natural sweetness that comes out beautifully when roasted. Pair that natural sweetness with the salty deliciousness we know and love as bacon, and you have a full-on flavor explosion in your mouth!

Ingredients

Bacon Roasted Brussels Sprouts
  • 4 strips thick-cut bacon, chopped
  • 1 lb brussels sprouts, trimmed and quartered
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. On a cookie sheet, lay out chopped bacon so that no pieces are touching. Cook bacon for 10-15 minutes, until crispy. Remove cookie sheet from oven.
  3. Place Brussels sprouts on pan with bacon fat and bacon pieces. Sprinkle minced garlic, salt, and pepper and toss all ingredients until coated in bacon fat. Be careful not to touch the pan while doing this.
  4. Place cookie sheet in oven and roast for another 10-15 minutes. Brussels sprouts are done when they are tender and edges turn brown.
  5. This recipe is something you will want to serve right away. They are not the greatest when cold or reheated.
